The Future of Application Development

 I recently returned from the Gartner Application Developer Summit, it was an interesting trip. Based on the agenda I was concerned that there would be too much discussion on Service Oriented Architecture. While there was a lot of discussion on SOA, the overall tone of the SOA message was different and much more palatable. The theme was that the future of Application Development is in orchestrating solutions not coding them. Business process will be the key and moving forward just with solid business process mapping is a great step forward.
